The City of Marche-en-Famenne, the Province of Luxembourg and the Cordaneum invite you to discover an exceptional exhibition dedicated to more than thirty years of research and creations by master luthier Gauthier Louppe.
Through 18 unique musical works – violins and unusual instruments, as well as drawings, sculptures and installations – the artist reveals his universe where violin making enters into dialogue with contemporary art.
The exhibition is enriched by numerous large-format photographs by Brussels-based photographer Marc-Henri Cykiert, along with contributions from creators from various backgrounds:

The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of cultural events:
Literature Evening (09/10/2025) – Presentation of books on the violin, music and violin making.
Storytelling Evening (16/10/2025) – The Soul that Makes the World Sing by Joël Smets with cello.
Concert (25/10/2025) – Around the World by the Maclet-Hadjiev duo (violin & cello).
Film Evening (13/11/2025) – Screening of the film Après l’ondé by the Calan brothers.
Human Philosopher Evening (05/12/2025) – Collective reflection on Effort in Art.
